Become A Volunteer

KAR is 100% volunteer-run from our board of directors to our foster homes to our adoption coordinators and so much more. By using volunteers, we are able to ensure that all money we receive goes directly to the cost of caring for our animals.

Volunteering with KAR is a great way to support our work and help the animals. You can make a real difference in the lives of many animals by volunteering a few hours a week, a month or a year – every bit helps!

Kingston Animal Rescue (KAR) volunteers must have a minimum commitment of six months on a consistent and regular basis. Volunteers must attend a mandatory training session and orientation before the commencement of any volunteer placement.
