Kingston Animal Rescue (KAR) is very concerned about the security and safety of its foster animals and all the animals in its custody, as well as its ability to keep track of all animals rescued. KAR will not share this information for any reason not connected to the foster care program or the safety of the rescued animals
or where required by law.

Rabbit(s): require a large x-pen or a 3-storey cage, daily exercise, socializing, and pellets/greens/hay.
Most of our rabbits are well litter trained but some need more work than others.
Cat(s): require at least a bedroom, socializing, wet/dry food and litter (plus litter changing).
Dog(s): require at least a bedroom (ideally a few rooms), daily exercise, socializing, and wet/dry food.
Guinea Pig(s): require a large flat area, socializing, and pellets/greens/hay. Not often litter trained.
Rat(s): require multi-leveled medium to large cage, daily interaction, and toys. Can be litter trained.
Hamster(s): require a small cage, socialization, and solitude during the day. Not litter trained.
Gerbil(s): require a medium sized cage, socialization, and lots of toys. Not usually litter trained.

I acknowledge that all statements in this application are made based on my personal knowledge and are made for purposes of my application to provide foster care to one or more animals of Kingston Animal Rescue.

I understand a Kingston Animal Rescue representative may visit my place of residence for a home inspection before my application is approved. I understand that if I am approved to be a foster volunteer, I will need to carefully read the Foster Care Agreement, which is a separate document from this Foster Care Application. The Foster Care Agreement represents the legal contract between a foster volunteer and Kingston Animal Rescue.

I understand that if I am approved to be a foster volunteer, I must review the Foster Care Agreement before I can take my foster animal home. I further understand that I will be asked to agree to the terms of the Foster Care Agreement and sign the Agreement before I can take my foster animal home.
