West Park: Located in the area of Norman Rogers Airport and Bayridge Drive, this relatively new subdivision was started in 1996-97. Semi-detached and single-family homes and a public park. Priced anywhere from $115,000 to $180,000. Facilities and attractions: Lemoine Point Conservation Area, Collins Bay Marina. Easy access to Bath Road services.

Smuggler’s Cove: A high percentage of the homes in this Front Road development are designed from customized plans. Prices run anywhere from $250,000 to $500,000. Those who choose this community will have the benefit of nearby Lake Ontario and the airport only minutes from home. A combination of single-family, two-storey homes and bungalows, building in Smuggler’s Cove started late in 1999.

Highgate: West of Bayridge, developed in the 1980s, population 3,500. Bordered by Collins Bay Road, Taylor Kidd, Woodbine and Bayridge, upscale two-storey single-family dwellings with an average cost of $145,000. Facilities and attractions: four hectares of parks, Bayridge Centre, Bayridge Centre West, modern elementary and secondary schools.

Westwoods On The Park: The latest phase in this subdivision off Woodbine Road offers luxury single-family homes starting at $173,800. Some houses back onto a conservation area with walking paths and a cul-de-sac. A community which boasts a close proximity to schools and popular shopping districts.

Highgate Park: Development between Bayridge and Collins Bay begun in the early 1960s on large lots near Collins Bay Road. Homes can cost upwards of $200,000.

Ridgewood Estates: Smaller subdivision north of Collins Bay with family and upscale executive homes. Rustic environment, homes back onto Collins Creek, a 6.7 hectare park which acts as a natural barrier to further large-scale development. Much of the building started in the mid-1970s and prices range from $160,000 to $300,000.

Bayshore Estates: A self-contained shoreline community dating back to the early 1980s. This is a community of retired and younger couples, west of Collins Bay. Commercial services at Collins Bay. Facilities and attractions: a public school, churches, parks, Royal Canadian Legion branch. Elmwood, an older subdivision, lies to the west. Homes cost between $200,000 and $500,000+.

Westbrook: Settled in the 1800s, Westbrook still has homes of historic merit. A lot of building was also done in the 1950s and 60s. Average cost of a home is about $130,000. Westbrook Heights, the most intensively developed area, has over 200 homes. Facilities: a public school, large park, close to Westbrook Golf Course.
